OOTD: Live Unlimited Drop Hem Dress

Sometimes you just need to go to East London, sit in a pop up restaurant and eat an overpriced burrito (that whole sentence makes me feel ill: West London massive, yo!) Anyway, I'm ashamed to say that's exactly what I did yesterday despite still being a sick pup. My week has been something along the lines of: *cough*....*blow nose*....*cough some more*....*lemsip*....*prolonged coughing fit until I keel over* Still, I needed some fresh air and so off we headed for a day of wandering.

Now, I only bought this last week, but it's already unavailable from the store I bought it from (Wallis). However, Live Unlimited is available in a few places so check online!

I'm a big fan of the classic black look; big boots and leather jacket. I do tend to steer clear of oversized tops though, so this was something new for me.

The material in the body is so SO soft and silky while the arms are made of stretch jersey. This is good for someone like me who has disproportionately large arms and means I didn't need to size up. It's sheer at the back, but there's an in-built cami to prevent any unwanted flashing.

I'm usually not a fan of a drop hem, but this is obviously an exception. It fell to my calves at the back and I'm 5'5" so it might not work for shorties of the world (unless you work it as a train?)

Today I popped this on with boots, leggings and a chain to keep it casual, but I can see myself wearing tights, heels and a statement necklace on a night out. It's such a versatile piece and I can see it becoming a trusty favourite.

Drop hem top: Wallis/Live Unlimited
Chain: Primark
Leggings: M&S
Jacket: Henry Holland (old)

The Shortest Halloween Ever

Halloweeeen! This year me and some friends decided to head into town to party the night away in a monstrous fashion. I'm not one for making my own costumes anymore (partly because I have no skill in the sewing area and partly due to time), so this year I bought my costume from Large and Lovely. I was happy with the service and particularly happy with the price; I hate the way fancy dress is usually in sizes 4-12 and then anyone above that has to pay a premium for all the many metres of additional material needed to cover their arses. Up with this I will not put!

Unfortunately it didn't turn out the way I envisioned. I hadn't been feeling very well all week and half way through the night I was doubled up in pain with a suspected kidney infection! Oh well. Can't win 'em all.

Today I am mainly sitting on the sofa, slanket clad, drinking tea and feeling sorry for myself. OooOOooOOOoooOOoooooOOoo.

Hope you all had spooky Halloweens!
